Hi, I'm Dr. Mike!  I go by Dr. Mike because my father, Dr. Roger Patten, practiced chiropractic for almost 40 years in Minnesota.  I had the privilege of working with him and learning from him for many years before making the move to Florida.  Yes, the snow and cold got to me.  In April of 2023, my wife Lori and I moved to Sarasota with out two sons. 

I was born and raised in Minnesota.  My father practice chiropractic for 39 years.  I grew up knowing only chiropractic as health care.  I never took a drug and was adjusted for any health conditioned that was encountered.  That is the same approach at Blue Waters Health Center.  It is a "one stop shop" for your health care needs, just like when I was growing up.

Lori and I have two boys that are amazing.  One of the reasons we moved was to create more time with our boys.  It can be walking the beach, enjoying the Gulf, being in the pool, kayaking, playing basketball or video games, we are intentional about doing things we enjoy with our boys.  

Blue Waters Health Center was born from a question I asked myself in 2009 when working with a patient.  This gentleman wasn't getting relief from the adjustments he was receiving so I asked my father to come and assist me.  Wanting to help the patient and not seeing the results, I knew I was missing something, but didn't know what.  My father came into the room and immediately got results.  That began over a ten year journey to answer the question, "What heals?"

That question lead me to many different seminars and class to find the answer.  The answer ultimately helps each patient I take care of.  Each patient is family to me.  It is important to take the time necessary to explain and see the healing result each person is looking for.
